Estate Planning
Help Youth Apostles continue to inspire young people for years to come.
Bequests
An excellent way to support Youth Apostles mission is to leave us a bequest in your will. A bequest is a gift of any amount or for made to Youth Apostles in a donor's will. One benefit of making a bequest gift is you are able to leave a lasting legacy while you continue to use the property. Check out other ways you are able to make bequests below.
A bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes, therefore if you have a taxable estate you can offset the cost of estate taxes resulting larger inheritance to your heirs.
In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney. If you are considering making an outright bequest to Youth Apostles, we recommend the following language:
Percentage Bequest:
Leaving specific percentage of your overall estate to Youth Apostles is another way to leave a lasting legacy. For example you, you may wish leave 5% of your estate to Youth Apostles.
Bequest of a specific dollar amount:
I hereby give, devise and bequeath ______ and No/100 dollars to Youth Apostles Institute, a non-profit organization located at 1600 Carlin Lane McLean, VA 22101 Federal Tax ID # 54-1285689 for Youth Apostles Institute general use and purpose.
Bequest of Property:
I hereby give, devise and bequeath all of the right, title and interest in and to the real estate located at ADDRESS OR DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY to Youth Apostles Institute, a nonprofit organization located at 1600 Carlin Lane, Federal Tax ID #54-1285689, for Youth Apostles Institute general use and purpose.

Retirement Plan Beneficiary
A donor can name Youth Apostles as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), or other qualified plan. Designate a program or office to receive all or a portion (like this year’s distribution) of the balance of your plan through your plan administrator.
-
Charitable Gift Annuities
A gift annuity is a lifetime contract between the donor and Youth Apostles. The donor makes a gift and receives a fixed amount of income, and if desired, for another beneficiary’s lifetime. Upon the death of the last beneficiary, Youth Apostles receives the remainder, which can be directed to a specific program or location.
-
Charitable Lead Trusts
The primary feature of a charitable lead trust is that it provides for the immediate support of Youth Apostles through income generated by the assets in a trust for a set period of time, after which the assets pass to a non-charitable beneficiary, such as the donor, the donor’s children, or other persons whom the donor specifies.
